I am your student’s 2nd-grade teacher, Mrs. Strong!  I am very excited to begin this year with your child. 

I am a local girl who grew up in this very school system!  After graduating in 2002, I went to Texas A&M where I received a degree in English.   I married my high school sweetheart, Kevin, and we have two children, Kaleb and Kallie.

I want to make certain that you know that I am here for your student.  If you need me at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I feel that educating is more than simply giving out a lesson and getting the correct answers.  I will do whatever is necessary to assist your student in learning and would appreciate any additional help you may provide at home.  This is as simple as having your child read things around the house (cereal boxes, recipes, newspapers, road signs…) or count change while shopping.  If you would like additional suggestions, please let me know.
