Principal
The staff at Madisonville Elementary School is ready to begin another productive school year with our wonderful little students. It is always a delight to assist them as they learn and grow into productive American citizens. During the next school year, our parents are encouraged to keep in touch with their student's teacher as we partner to help our students achieve to the maximum extent possible. To keep you informed, we ask that you read all of the information that is sent home in our Tuesday folders, read the information on our web page, and join our PTO.
Regular hours for Madisonville Elementary School will be 7:50-3:30 each day. Universal breakfast and lunch (free to all students) will be available for all students. Please do not drop your child off before 7:30, unless you are an MCISD employee. Also, note that the dismissal times for all of the MCISD schools are different. For attendance credit elementary students must be present by 9:30. As in the past, Madisonville Elementary will release students first. These students need to be picked up first. All other MCISD campuses have later release times.
We are limiting the number of people entering our building for the safety of all. We are asking you to observe our rules and help us keep everyone safe.
To ease our traffic flow at the end of the school day, the following will occur: All second graders and any younger students riding in a car with them will exit the side doors located at the end of their hallway. All First graders and any younger students riding in a car with them will exit at the front of the building. All Kindergarten students and any younger students riding with them will exit the side doors located at the end of their hallway. Only Pre-Kindergarten students (these students are children who are not riding with an older child) will exit through the back double doors to wait for their rides. We have approximately 700 students on our campus, so we ask that you not request that your child be sent to another pick up area. When we use a pattern that is familiar to all school employees, then we are all able to determine where our students are to travel when school is dismissed.
The district prohibits bullying on school property, at school-sponsored or school-related activities, or in any vehicle operated by the district. Bullying may be verbal or written expression or expression through electronic means, or physical conduct. Bullying is not tolerated by the district and any student or parent of a student who believes that the student or another student has experienced bullying or that a student has engaged in bullying is encouraged to immediately report the incident. Retaliation against anyone involved in the complaint process is a violation of district policy and is prohibited.
Students or parents may report an alleged incident of bullying, orally or in writing, to a teacher, counselor, principal or other district employee. Students or parents may contact the district to obtain an incident report form that may be used to submit the complaint.
Please note that after submission of the complaint to the district employee, the district may assign the complaint to a campus administrator to follow up on the submitted complaint and any other important matters pertaining to the complaint. We encourage you to communicate with your designated campus administrator during this time.
More information about the district’s bullying policy can be found at www.madisonvillecisd.org or the campus principal’s office.
Please feel free to contact me at the school when you have concerns. I am looking forward to another great school year.
